IDEALFORCE has a CONTRACT position available immediately for Business Objects Report Developer to join our customer in Phoenix Arizona. This is an ONSITE position. The Business Objects Report Developer is responsible will be responsible for gathering requirements and building reports using SAP Business Objects suite of tools. They will enforce best practices in the use of Business Objects for creating Enterprise reporting solutions. The position is responsible for Business Object Universe maintenance, Business Objects report development, maintenance and issue resolution for existing reports, and detailed design documentation for all new report requests. The Business Objects Report developer must be able to quickly become the Agency Business Objects report subject matter expert


Job Description

Business Objects Universe and report design and development tasks. Assist with defining, documenting, designing and configuring reporting solutions

Creates, approves, and organizes Business Objects Universes used to support WEBI and Analytical reporting. Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment with minimal supervision.

Troubleshoot Business Objects Reporting issues. Aggressively work all issues through resolution. Work with internal support team to resolve difficult issues as needed.

Assist in the management of the Business Objects platform.

Provide input to project planning, status and review meetings.

Demonstrate the capabilities of the Business Objects platform to groups of people. Clearly articulate the functionality and advantages of the platform

Perform unit and integration testing and participate in reporting validation and QA efforts as they pertain to reporting and data analytics


Qualifications

BS Degree CS or MIS or equivalent experience in related roles

Experience in Business Objects such as Design, Semantic Layers (Universe), Data Modeling, Web Intelligence (WEBI), Dashboard and Explorer

Knowledge of SQL with the ability to write complex SQL queries.

Understanding of Business Intelligence solutions: operational and analytical, strong knowledge of relational and multi-dimensional database architectures

Complete understanding around Business Objects ecosystem, framework, administration, maintenance and configuration skills

Should have hands on experience in solving technical challenges in Business Objects

Experience developing reports using financial data with Business Objects

Hands-on experience with data architecture and data analysis skill sets.

Working knowledge of Team Foundation Services 2012 is preferred

Demonstrated ability to use discretion and make sound decisions

Ability to excel in a collaborative and distributed team environment

Ability to work with a minimal amount of direction while being pro-active in keeping their management informed of project related issues

Ability to work under pressure

Ability to respectfully question ideas and share a point of view with others in support of the business requirements and needs

Ability to effectively communicate with various levels of employees ranging from entry level to senior leadership

Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time and shift priorities quickly

Experience working on an Agile/Scrum team preferred

Proven strong problem-solving skills, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Comfortable in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment, working across multiple projects simultaneously.

Must have the desire to work on new, innovative, cutting-edge technologies.
