Description
Join the immersive world of ART, MUSIC & AMUSEMENT at AREA15, where the boundaries between reality and limitless creativity blur. Welcome to the "What's Next District."
The On-call Event Security Officer patrols the grounds of special events venue to provide security and protection for event guests, employees, vendors and the property. They observe special event attendees to ensure that they are abiding by the rules of the venue and the laws. Works in an efficient and professional manner while maintaining a positive attitude and always delivering superior Guest service.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  • Work at themed events, concerts, conventions, parties, music festivals, or large events.
  • Maintains crowd control, prevents theft and discourages altercations, in a high-volume Concert/Festival atmosphere.
  • Perform crowd and may be required to monitor parking or direct before/after the event.
  • Provide a friendly, personal demeanor and a willingness to interact
  • Commits self to AREA15 values, and acknowledges dedication to providing excellent guest service to concert goers and event staff at all times
  • Good working knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment during events
  • Ability to work safely and prevent and promptly respond to personal injury in an adequate manner to ensure care and attention is provided to those injured or in need of care while attending any event
  • Commitment to the safety and attention of fellow co-workers and our guests, and the ability to demonstrate that commitment through prompt actions
  • Comply with all safety and health department procedures as well as Company and/or departmental policies/procedures pertaining to events held on property
  • Comply with all state and federal liquor laws
  • Provides adequate security and protection for our guests, employees, theirs and company property. Upholds the law and order in the venue in conjunction with local law enforcement.
  • Promptly administers first aid and assists injured guests or employees. Ensure that proper authorities and providers of care are promptly contacted.
  • Remains continuously alert for any suspicious persons or activities and notifies proper authorities of the same. Reports any safety hazards immediately to Maintenance.
  • Addresses, responds to and/or answers all guest questions and furnishes detailed information on the Concert/Festival when asked by guests.
  • Possesses knowledge and use of all radio communication procedures and corresponding codes.
  • Responds professionally and rationally in emergency and pressured situations. Restrains intoxicated and disorderly guests and removes them from the event if necessary.
  • Communicates professionally with all internal and external parties.
  • Promotes and practices safety awareness and behavior, adhering to all safety standards.
  • Directs emergency vehicles when called upon.
  • Perform other work related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements
Qualifications and skills:
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Security Experience in the large events and/or hospitality preferred.
  • Customer service experience is a plus
  • At least 6 months experience in crowd management, entry searches, stage and VIP credential area security required.
  • Possession of/or ability to possess a valid Nevada TAM Certification (alcohol awareness) and LVMPD Sheriffs Card or Nevada PILB work card.
  • Work various shifts to include holidays, weekends, and nights.
  • Must be able to work in the dark environment with various level of lights, noises, loud music, and smog throughout the shift.
  • Ability to tolerate high temperatures, heat, sun exposure, and varying weather conditions. Ability to work in a dynamic environment with varying sound levels, crowds, and smoke/haze.
