Job description

Grogan's Towne Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram is a high volume dealership that has immediate openings for experienced  technicians with the opportunity to earn in excess of $150k per year. Top level technicians earn up to $65.00 per flat rate hour including the $5.00 per flat rate hour annual bonus payable in December.  We are are a family oriented dealership offering flexible schedules to attend family events and functions.   As a  Service Technician, you will utilize your vehicle maintenance expertise to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs according to dealer and factory standards. Our top technicians work on hybrid, diesel, Promaster, transmissions and engine repair.  If you are not certified in all these areas we will provide the training to advance to next levels. Service Techs at Grogan's Towne can expect a clean, safe, positive and state-of-the-art work environment with support from our team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and diagnose automotive and light duty trucks repairs needed
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose computer control system components, using scanners and/or laptop computers
  • Repairs or replaces engines, transmissions, brake , and air conditioning/climate control systems
  • Repairs or replaces, electrical, electronic and computer controls and fuel systems
  • Performs preventive maintenance and services vehicles by lubricating, changing oil, and servicing transmissions
  • Performs tune ups and replaces alternators/voltage regulators and replaces or repairs ignition systems
  • Replaces wheel bearings, universal joints, main bearings, head gaskets, pistons, rings, and hydraulic valve-lifters

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of automotive diagnosis and problem solving experience
  • Valid driver’s license and fairly clean driving record (no major violations)
  • ASE Certifications preferred
  • Solid organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Passion and understanding of the industry
  • Attention to detail
