Senior Attorney - Employment Class Actions & PAGA

The Opportunity
Lead complex Employment Class Action and PAGA litigation involving employee misclassification, unpaid overtime, time-shaving, meal and rest period violations, and other unlawful workplace practices.This is an opportunity to take true ownership of sophisticated casesfrom initial strategy and certification through mediation, trial, or appeal. You will litigate against leading defense firms, make decisions that directly affect outcomes, and work alongside an experienced team with the resources to pursue significant settlements and verdicts.   • Lead Employment Class Action, Wage & Hour, and PAGA matters through every stage of litigation
  • Develop case, certification, discovery, damages, settlement, and trial strategies
  • Draft and argue substantive motions, pleadings, and other complex legal filings
  • Take and defend party, witness, corporate representative, and expert depositions
  • Direct written discovery and analyze payroll, timekeeping, and workforce data
  • Represent clients at hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials
  • Work with experts on damages, liability, and class-certification issues
  • Negotiate resolutions that maximize value for clients
  • Mentor attorneys and collaborate with a strong litigation support team
  • Help shape the continued growth and success of the Employment practice
What Were Looking For
  • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar
  • At least seven years of experience in Employment Class Action, Wage & Hour, and PAGA litigation
  • A record of independently managing complex matters and driving litigation strategy
  • Significant motion, discovery, deposition, and mediation experience
  • Class-certification, trial, or appellate experience strongly preferred
  • Exceptional legal analysis, writing, negotiation, and oral advocacy
  • Sound judgment and the ability to make strategic decisions in complex situations
  • A high level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail

Compensation
  • $180,000 - $280,000 based on experience, plus performance-based incentives
