What is a Unity developer?

Unity Developers are professionals who use the Unity game engine to create interactive experiences, such as video games, simulations, and virtual or augmented reality applications. They write code, often in C#, to bring game mechanics, graphics, and user interfaces to life. Unity Developers collaborate with designers, artists, and other team members to build and optimize applications for various platforms, including mobile devices, consoles, and PCs. Their role involves both technical programming and creative problem-solving to ensure high-quality, engaging user experiences.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Unity developer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Unity Developer, you need strong proficiency in C# programming, a solid understanding of game development principles, and experience with the Unity engine, often supported by a degree in computer science or a related field. Familiarity with source control systems (like Git), versioning tools, and Unity-specific features such as the Asset Store and Unity Analytics is typically required. Creativity, problem-solving skills, and effective communication help developers collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and address complex challenges. These abilities are crucial for delivering polished, high-performing interactive experiences and meeting project goals in a competitive industry.

What are some common challenges Unity developers face when working on large-scale projects?

Performance bottlenecks can arise from handling large assets or complex scenes, requiring careful profiling and optimization. Additionally, maintaining clean and modular code is crucial as multiple developers contribute to the same project, making version control and clear documentation essential. Regular communication with designers, artists, and other developers helps to align project goals and resolve issues quickly.

Are Unity developers in demand?

Unity developers are in high demand due to the popularity of Unity for game development, virtual reality, and interactive applications. Skills in C# programming, 3D modeling, and experience with Unity's tools increase employability across gaming, simulation, and training industries.

Job description

At Delta Faucet, we are committed to transforming everyday experiences with water through innovative products and exceptional service. As a leader in the plumbing industry, we take pride in our dedication to quality, sustainability, and customer satisfaction. We believe that diverse perspectives strengthen our mission to create solutions that inspire and elevate the lives of all our customers. We welcome individuals from all backgrounds to join us on this journey toward inclusivity and excellence.
Your Role at Delta Faucet
Do you want to shape the future of analytics by building intelligent copilots that power decision-making across retail and ecommerce? Delta Faucet Company is reimagining how merchandising, pricing, supply chain, and customer experience analytics are delivered through AI-driven agents.
We are seeking an AI Agent Developer to design, build, and operationalize agentic AI solutions that leverage the Databricks Lakehouse and Microsoft Copilot ecosystem. This role will transform governed enterprise data into autonomous, secure copilots embedded directly in Microsoft 365 (Teams, Excel, Power BI), helping business teams move faster with trusted insights.
Ideal candidates will blend hands-on technical expertise in Databricks and Copilot Studio with strong business acumen in retail/consumer goods analytics. This is a ground-floor opportunity to shape Delta's AI strategy, working with cutting-edge tools (Agent Bricks, LangChain, GPT-5, Claude, Unity Catalog, MLflow 3.0) while solving high-impact, real-world problems.
Responsibilities
Agent Development & Orchestration
  • Design and deploy multi-agent workflows using Copilot Studio, LangChain, and Databricks Agent Bricks.
  • Implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines using Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and Databricks Vector Search.
  • Build custom Copilot connectors and plugins (Graph APIs, Power Automate actions) to expose governed Delta data in Teams, Outlook, and Power BI.

Data Integration & Analytics
  • Architect pipelines that connect transactional, inventory, and ERP feeds into real-time copilots with <2s response targets.
  • Orchestrate workflows across Microsoft Fabric, Dynamics 365, and Databricks Lakehouse (Bronze/Silver/Gold layers).

MLOps/LLMOps & Governance
  • Manage agent lifecycle using MLflow 3.0 for experiment tracking, prompt registry, evaluation, and tracing.
  • Enforce governance guardrails: Unity Catalog (row/column-level security, lineage, audit logging), Microsoft Purview (DLP, sensitivity labels), and responsible AI practices (guardrails, human-in-loop).
  • Monitor production agents for reliability, latency, token cost, effectiveness, usage, and safety.

Innovation & Optimization
  • Fine-tune foundation models (GPT-4o, GPT-5, Claude Opus, DBRX) for retail domain tasks.
  • Experiment with advanced multi-agent orchestration patterns, chain-of-thought optimization, and semantic indexing.
  • Continuously evaluate and integrate new features from Microsoft and Databricks platforms.
  • Evaluate adoption of agentic experiences, partnering with sales & channel marketing to maximize benefit and utilization.
  • Mentor and coach your analytics peers in ways that will accelerate the deployment of agents and the analytics outcomes we desire.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • 4-6 years of professional experience in software engineering, data engineering, or applied AI/ML.
  • Demonstrated ability to ship at least one production-ready agentic or RAG (retrieval-augmented generation) solution, or equivalent evidence through open-source projects, internal pilots, or demos.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL with experience building APIs, workflows, or automation pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience in either:
    • Databricks Lakehouse (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Lakeflow Jobs, Model Serving, Vector Search), or
    • Microsoft Copilot Studio and Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse, Graph connectors).
Candidates are expected to learn and ramp quickly in the other platform.
  • Familiarity with LLMOps practices (e.g., MLflow, prompt evaluation, observability dashboards) and implementing responsible AI guardrails (data access controls, PII handling, bias mitigation).

Why Join Us?
At Delta Faucet Company, our people are our greatest assets. We value different perspectives and fostering an inclusive environment. You'll have the opportunity to shape the future of our brand, working alongside passionate professionals committed to excellence and innovation. Join us to lead progressive growth and make a significant impact within a leading organization.
Here are some of the benefits we offer for your personal and professional growth:
  • Culture: Recognized and award-winning reputation for equality, diversity and inclusion, flexibility, work-life balance, and more.

  • Social Impact: Four employee-led and self-directed Business Resource Groups; Paid volunteer day annually; Employees share their time, skills and talent with charities and nonprofit organizations across the U.S. and around the globe.

Company: Delta Faucet Company
Full time
Hiring Range: $88,700.00 - $139,260.00 USD
Actual compensation may vary based on various factors including experience, education, geographic location, and/or skills.
