Job description

Reports to:            Facilities Director
FLSA status:        Hourly (non-exempt)
Hours per week:  40 hours, Full-time (12:00pm-8:00pm)
Campus:               Viera
We exist to glorify God by being a loving community where people are saved, set free, discipled, empowered, and sent out to fulfill their God-given calling.
Job Summary: This position helps to ensure a safe, clean and sanitary condition while maintaining the day-to-day maintenance operations at the Viera campus from 12:00pm - 8:00pm. Must consider Calvary Chapel your home church with regular attendance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Empty trash cans, take out rubbish to trash dumpster
• Replenish bathroom supplies, help to maintain cleanliness of restrooms and unclog drains
• Clean windows, ceiling vents, light fixtures, walls and doors (Colossians 3:23)
• Finish and strip floors, clean carpets with Host Carpet cleaner and clean floors with auto scrubbers
• Able to vacuum, sweep, mop and dust
• Able to work with side-to-side floor machine and floor burnisher
• Dust furniture and clean all counter and cabinet surfaces, sinks, and wall mounted items (Proverbs 16:3)
• Pick up trash from grounds
• Required to help in the set-up/teardown of rooms and equipment relating to church and individual ministry events (Colossians 3:23)
• Ability to respond to custodial emergency situations as effectively and as promptly as the situation requires
• Cross Training for back-up coverage (Proverbs 27:17)
• Safely use and climb ladders
• Able to take proper care of and do routine maintenance on equipment
• Complete work requests and documenting records (Colossians 3:24)
• Operate machinery proficiently after a period of training
• Ability to move various items of equipment and materials to locations inside and outside campus buildings
• Able to lift 35 lbs.   Any item over 35 lbs. will require two people to lift
• Travel to other campuses when required
• Manage time and schedules while meeting deadlines consistently
• Function as a productive part of the church staff and attend staff meetings (1 Peter 4:10)
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor (Colossians 3:23)
Job Skills and Competencies:
•Must be able and willing to work in dusty, dirty, wet, hot and/or cold environmental conditions
• Ability to perform the physical nature of the tasks listed above
• Must not have a fear of heights, as this job does require some climbing
• Must be able to lift heavy objects correctly
• Ability to communicate effectively with others
• Must be able to read and understand basic instruction manuals
• Must be able to use basic Microsoft Office software
• Results oriented, intelligent, well-rounded, adaptable to frequent changes and able to produce high quality work under pressure
