• Conduct detailed mental health assessments to identify individual patient needs and create effective treatment plans that are culturally responsive.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to each patient, integrating their cultural context into the care process.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, encouraging open communication and resilience-building in a safe environment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to deliver comprehensive care.
• Provide crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing acute mental health challenges, ensuring immediate assistance when needed.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, various treatment modalities, and community resources to empower them in their recovery journeys.
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing EHR systems effectively.
• Participate actively in professional development through case discussions, team meetings, and cultural competency training initiatives.
• Stay current with best practices in mental health therapy, adapting to new research findings regarding cultural considerations.

The individuals you will support come from a rich tapestry of backgrounds, including first-generation immigrants, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and various ethnic minorities. Your role is crucial in creating a therapeutic atmosphere that honors their experiences and challenges. Effectively engaging with these populations will not only foster trust but also enrich the therapeutic process, aiding in their overall mental health and community integration.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment methodologies, and cultural considerations in therapeutic practices.
• Proven experience in delivering clinically effective individual and group therapy, with a focus on cultural responsiveness.
• Robust crisis intervention skills, maintaining a calm demeanor in high-pressure situations.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for building rapport and trust with diverse patients.
• Proficiency in EHR systems and other relevant technology applications used in mental health care.
• A strong commitment to ethical practices, confidentiality, and professional boundaries.
• The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team framework.

• Experience working in community health clinics or outpatient settings.
• Familiarity with telehealth practices and technologies.
• Engagement in ongoing cultural competency training and application of those principles in clinical settings.
• Previous involvement in program development or improvement initiatives focusing on diverse client populations.
