Job Description

Position Title:

Checker Loader

Pay Rate :

$26.72/hr

Sign-on Bonus :

$500 after 30 days,

$500 after 6 months

Category/Shift :

Hourly Full-Time (3rd shift) 11 PM- 7 AM

$0.30 cents shift differential for 3rd shift

12 hour shift and/or weekend work required when needed for production goals.

Must be willing to work any shift!

The Job You Will Perform:

  • Read factory work orders and various shipping and/or receiving papers to learn customer requirements and processing information

  • Monitor conveyor take off lines, removing units from the lines, and loading units into trailers and/or placing units in storage areas

  • Checking load tags and unit counts to verify that they are correct

  • Inspecting finished units during the loading process to insure that they are free from handling damage and that the straps are intact

  • Accurately completing tally sheets to record units loaded into trailers

  • Maintain well-organized paperwork

  • Generate accurate bills of lading

  • Deliver sheet and/or in-process units to production areas as required

  • Maintain clean and organized work areas, storage areas, and aisles

  • Sweeping and cleaning trailers such that only clean trailers are used for our products

  • Taking and maintaining accurate inventories

  • Stretch wrapping specified units

  • Performing receiving duties as needed and other duties as assigned by supervision

  • Give breaks to Unitizer operator

  • Assist with loading bales and working on sheet line

  • Ensure forklift is clean and maintained

The Skills You Will Bring:

  • 2 years manufacturing experience highly preferred

  • Prior forklift experience highly preferred

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Consent to a background check and pre-employment physical / drug screen

  • Flexible to work overtime as needed

  • Must have a positive attitude with a willingness to learn new things, receive and follow instructions
