Job description

Company: United Service Co. (Topsfield, MA), with customers in Massachusetts (Boston/North Shore), Southern New Hampshire and Southern Maine

Family owned business established in 1953 seeking experienced candidates who are technically inclined, organized, and have an upbeat attitude to join our growing team as a Service Technician.

Type: Full-Time, Field-based (Travel to client sites).

Compensation & Perks

  • Pay: $35-50+ per hour (DOE) + Performance Bonuses.

Key Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair commercial refrigeration (coolers, freezers, ice machines) and hvac systems for various businesses. Duties include:

  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting system and electrical issues.
  • Performing routine maintenance and responding to emergency calls.
  • Communicating with clients and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a commercial HVAC-R Technician (Commercial refrigeration experience strongly preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of refrigeration principles and electrical systems
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools (multimeters, manifold gauges, leak detectors, etc.)
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various environmental conditions
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and on-call shifts (including evenings and weekends)
  • Brazing certification and experience

Preferred:

  • Experience diagnosing and repairing restaurant equipment (ovens, fryers, ranges, steamers, etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics
  • EPA 608 Universal Certification
