The Payroll and Benefits Specialist provides payroll, benefits, and general HR support to associates and management while ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of associate data in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. This role supports payroll processing, benefits administration, and the accuracy of associate data across the organization. Serving as a key resource for payroll and benefits inquiries, the Payroll and Benefits Specialist collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver consistent, compliant, and high-quality service that supports both operational efficiency and associate experience.

  • Must be 21 years or older
  • College degree or equivalent payroll/benefits experience
  • College degree or equivalent payroll/benefits experience
  • Proficiency in working with an HR Information/Payroll System is required
  • Bi-lingual preferred
  • At least five years of experience in a company payroll/benefits function
  • Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Process biweekly payroll in Paycom
  • Maintain the integrity of the Paycom system
  • Enter transactions (driver commissions, merchandiser pay, bonuses, etc.)
  • Enter sales deductions - over/short deductions, loan deductions, and driver commissions
  • Daily monitoring of post mail, emails, and telephone calls from internal colleagues and external parties to ensure timely responses
  • Complete garnishment answer notices
  • Generate regular reports and distribute to appropriate colleagues (new hire, termination, headcount, employee change, leaves of absence, missing punch, vacation review, and calculation, as well as additionally requested reports for sales managers and delivery)
  • Enter garnishments and child support deductions in the payroll system and the Company's internal database
  • Complete Qualified Medical Child Support Orders (QCSO) or National Medical Support Orders (NMSN)
  • Timely response to employment verification requests
  • Complete unemployment claim requests (i.e. provide wage information and documentation)
  • Administer benefits, including enrollment, termination, and billing
  • Send Benefit announcements/communication and post to the intranet
  • Provide recommendations and support wellness program activities
  • Attend new hire onboarding to provide benefit education, including 401(k)
  • Assist with 401(k) audit by gathering documents and providing requested reports
  • Other duties, as assigned
