Position Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience
  • Colorado or Compact RN License required
  • BLS required
  • OCN or ONS/ONCC certification is preferred but not required
  • First-time travelers are welcome
  • Prior inpatient oncology experience preferred
  • Trauma Level II experience required
  • Must be comfortable working with flexible nurse-to-patient ratios
  • Must be willing to float within scope and potentially to sister facilities based on facility needs
  • No on-call requirement
Shift & Scheduling
  • Night Shift: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
  • 3×12-hour shifts
  • Weekend coverage required based on unit needs
  • Approximately 6 weekend shifts per 6 weeks
  • No block scheduling
Patient Ratios
  • Day: 1:4
  • Night: 1:5
  • Ratios may increase depending on staffing and unit needs. Candidates should be comfortable working in flexible staffing environments.

The unit has support from Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Interpretation Services, Transportation, and Unit Secretary staff.

Certification Requirements

Required:

  • BLS
  • Active Colorado or Compact RN License

Preferred:

  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Certification
  • OCN Certification
Important Candidate Requirements

Candidates should have strong acute-care experience and be comfortable caring for oncology patients in a fast-paced inpatient environment. Epic experience is required, and candidates must be comfortable with floating and flexible patient ratios.
