What you will do

The Plant Controller will sit in the Tulsa, Oklahoma Precious Metals Chemistry site and report directly to the Business Unit Controller & BIT of PMC with dotted line reporting to the Tulsa Site Director. This position interfaces with global Platinum Group Metals (PGM) and non-PGM teams, Operations, Customer Service, Engineering, Quality, Accounting, Tax, etc. The Plant Controller will monitor, follow up and steer the financial performance of the entities and act as business partner for both plant & BU management in all financial aspects of the running business and ad hoc projects. Plant Contoller will demonstrate strong cost consciousness and actively drive performance dialogues. Beyond finance, this position plays a key role in implementing strategic initiatives together with the plant management team.

  • Minimum 6 years experience in Controlling required
  • 3+ years experience in plant controlling preferred
  • Individual contributor with advanced knowledge acquired from several years of experience in the professional discipline.
  • Responsible for making improvements of processes or products to enhance performance.
  • Influence internal and external parties, who regularly have divergent interests, to achieve short-term project objectives.
  • Problems faced are difficult and may require understanding of multiple issues.
Your Key Accountabilities
  • Executes and/or manages work in a range of Finance topics.
  • Responsible for financial planning, analysis, and/or reporting.
  • Supports the business as business partner and ensures the financial health of the organization.
  • Executes and/or leads work in the controlling of metal inventory, plants or costs.
  • Monitors and analyses financial performance related to metals, plant or general costs to provides insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Ensures compliance with local and Umicore standards (MICRs, credit management, group policies, etc). Risk management: Elimination & mitigation of risks to the business
  • Manages Accounting/Costing SAP Masterdata, including validation, price control, standard cost generation
  • Support PMC site management in all financial matters
  • Monitor & steer Capital Employed
  • PGM control of the complete metal processing flows including external refining flows, and ensure timely and accurate booking in SAP. Review of open positions
  • Supports various PMC global tasks, projects
  • Delivers expert work in General Finance with high quality and timeliness, applying best practices and standards.
  • Owns complex tasks in cost benefit analysis, budgeting, producing accurate outputs and identifying risks or anomalies proactively.
  • Analyzes problems, recommends options, and implements improvements in methods, tools, or data flows.
  • Collaborates with adjacent teams and stakeholders, communicating insights and recommendations clearly.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to deliver high-quality outcomes and knowledge sharing.
