Job description

Preferred Care at Old Bridge is looking to hire a Unit Clerk. We are a 140 bed Skilled Nursing/Long Term Care facility located in Old Bridge NJ. The Unit Clerk performs secretarial, receptionist, and clerical duties to support the nursing unit and/or assisted care or assisted living facility. 

Prior healthcare experience is required. CNA experience is a plus.

The position is a Full Time position, Monday through Friday.

Unit Clerk Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain charts in proper sequence and thin according to policy.
  • Obtain all pertinent information and appropriate paperwork for new admissions and prepare a new medical chart.
  • Schedule resident appointments in a timely manner.
  • Complete and distribute appropriate reports
  • File all records in appropriate alphabetical format
  • Maintain nurses station, including forms, files, drawers, and cabinets in an orderly fashion
  • Maintain accurate records of resident's appointments and work orders
