Position Overview

Unique Behavioral Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality mental health services to a diverse clientele and is based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The successful candidate will possess a strong foundation in psychotherapy and clinical intervention, aiming to facilitate clients' emotional and psychological well-being.

About the Organization

At Unique Behavioral Counseling Center, we are committed to providing exceptional mental health services through a client-centered approach. Our practice emphasizes the importance of individualized treatment plans, short waiting times for appointments, and a supportive, confidential environment. We specialize in various therapeutic modalities, including individual, couples, and family therapy, addressing an array of mental health challenges, relationship dynamics, and personal development goals.

Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of remote work, which allows you to create a comfortable and personalized therapeutic space without the constraints of a traditional office. While collaboration and support are fostered within our team, you will have the autonomy to manage your schedule, including the option to work evenings and weekends to meet clients' needs. This role is conducted in a hospice care environment, highlighting our commitment to compassion and comprehensive client care in life-limiting situations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify clients' backgrounds, presenting issues, and desired treatment outcomes.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness-based practices, in individual, couples, and family sessions.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop and execute personalized treatment plans, ensuring that therapeutic approaches meet their unique needs.
  • Document session notes and treatment progress diligently, upholding the confidentiality and ethical standards in mental health practice.
  • Engage in continuous professional development, attending workshops and training to stay updated with best practices and innovative treatment methodologies.
  • Foster a therapeutic alliance built on trust and collaboration, encouraging clients in their healing journey and personal growth.
  • Support clients with practical coping strategies and tools to navigate life's complexities effectively.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client population comprises individuals, couples, and families seeking assistance with a variety of challenges, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, relationship problems, and grief. Given the work setting within hospice care, you will also have the opportunity to work closely with clients facing end-of-life issues, providing them with emotional support and guidance during one of the most crucial times in their lives.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
  • Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Pennsylvania.
  • A minimum of two years of clinical experience, particularly in a private practice or similar setting.
  • Strong skills in assessment, treatment planning, and implementation of therapeutic interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on empathy and active listening.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience working with bereavement or hospice populations is highly valued, as it enhances your capacity to provide tailored support in sensitive situations. Familiarity with teletherapy platforms can also contribute to the effectiveness of your remote sessions.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 104,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, youโ€™ll enjoy a performance-based bonus structure and comprehensive health coverage, which includes medical, dental, and vision insurance. Our retirement plans include employer contributions, helping you secure your financial future. Flexible scheduling options are also available to ensure a healthy work-life balance.
