Description
Unique Landscaping is seeking a capable & reliable Landscape Designer/Sales Person to work alongside the design team to produce, present & oversee client designs & projects. This position would be responsible for envisioning unique outdoor spaces and working with other landscape professionals to turn their visions into an environment for people to enjoy.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work directly under the supervision of the Lead Designer.
  • Use computer-aided drafting program to produce designs, working drawings
    & records.
  • Work alongside design team to measure potential client sites, taking note of
    measurements, ideas & possible plant material & use this information to
    complete landscape designs.
  • Investigate & propose solutions to problems of grading, spatial organization
    & site utilization.
  • Obtain & maintain knowledge of horticulture & all related practices to better
    provide advice & design creation.
  • Confer with designer & other personnel in the selection of plants.
  • Determine procedures & instructions to be followed according to design
    specifications & quantity of required materials.
  • Facilitate growth in client projects to enhance operating revenues & profits.
  • Assist client specialist in the creation of cost proposals by providing accurate
    material & time expectations.
  • Under supervision, perform landscape design work of moderate difficulty &
    responsibility.
  • Conduct site inspections for quality assurance.
  • Assist our landscape designer & field director in all capacities while gaining
    practical professional experience.
  • Adhere to the vision of Unique's core values.
  • Become a brand ambassador for Unique while also implementing strong
    time-proven design principles.

Requirements
  • Prior experience using computer-aided drafting software.
  • Prior construction and/or drafting experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of horticulture a PLUS, interest in horticulture is a must.
  • Knowledge of Mac hardware & MacOS & willingness to embrace the
    hardware/software.
  • Sounds judgement & creative problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to details, high energy & learning skills.
  • Ability to work in an office & team-based environment.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of local trees, shrubs, evergreens,
    perennials, annuals & their use in the landscape.
  • Must have landscape design skills, both in practice & on paper/computer
    program.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal & organizational skills.
  • Ambitious self-starter.
  • Creative artistic ability.
