Job description

Position Summary

Responsible for building long-term relationships with Members. Consistently exhibits and communicates an exemplary first impression as the primary point of contact. Works to understand Members financial needs and address each need by making appropriate product and service recommendations. Professionally exercises extraordinary service and value by providing the highest level of member service when assisting and meeting the needs of all Members in order to leave a positive impact with each encounter. Supports TTCU’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values. All interactions and all service standards should align with these core beliefs. Performs duties in compliance with regulatory requirements including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

Assist Members and non-members with lending inquiries which may include loan applications. Loan applications include gathering information, auditing for completeness, and keeping an open line of communication related to status of loan concerns that may arise.

Open new accounts including all deposit-related products. Ensure all required information is obtained and is complete, accurate and complies with the TTCU policies, procedures, and auditing guidelines. Assist Members and non-members (Members) with account inquires such as opening new accounts, account maintenance such as issuing debit cards, address changes, adding joint owners to existing accounts and OLB assistance. Complete account audits to ensure compliance with policy and procedure.

Process member transactions demonstrating efficiency and good utilization of time to assist as many members as possible without negatively impacting the quality of the transaction. Responsible for balancing cash drawer (or dispenser/recycler) regularly to ensure accuracy.

Contribute to the achievement of credit union production and service goals by building trusting relationships with Members and fellow employees, staying informed on current products, services, and promotions, and by utilizing KeyInsight to help determine Member needs and refer appropriate services.

Minimum Qualifications

Educational Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required.
Associate degree in business, finance, or other related discipline preferred.

Certificates/Licenses
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to become a notary public.
• Must successfully complete TTCU’s Credit Union Advisor Training Program within 60 days of hire.
• Must successfully complete TTCU’s Credit Union Advisor Training Program within 90 days of hire.
• Must successfully complete CUNA’s Certified Financial Counselor Certification (FiCEP) within 12 months of hire.

Experience
Customer service experience in banking, retail, or another related field: 1 Year,
Bilingual Skills in Spanish- Preferred

Working Conditions

Work Environment
Routinely perform work indoors in climate controlled private office with minimal noise.

Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral directives. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be able to perform intermediate mathematical calculation with extreme accuracy. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside the organization and demonstrate the highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under stress of deadlines/requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must provide support to HR, Risk Management, and Executives in conducting investigations. Must be able to exercise the highest level of discretion on internal and external confidential matters.
