Senior Project Manager โ€“ Mission Critical

An experienced Senior Project Manager is needed to join a vibrant and driven team. This position plays a crucial role in overseeing project execution, ensuring high-quality outcomes that prioritize safety, timeliness, and budget adherence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.

  • Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery.

  • Manage projects throughout the entire project lifecycle.

  • Promote and uphold a strong safety culture.

  • Conduct regular site visits, leading by example and enforcing safety measures.

  • Develop, implement, and ensure adherence to comprehensive safety plans.

Mentorship & Leadership:

  • Guide and direct Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers, providing training and accountability.

  • Serve as a mentor to new team members, ensuring they grasp business processes.

  • Influence and collaborate with support staff and cross-functional teams.

  • Develop a succession plan to support future growth and team sustainability.

Client Relations:

  • Establish and strengthen partnerships with General Contractors and project owners.

  • Manage client accounts with a focus on long-term collaboration and future opportunities.

  • Work closely with field leadership, incorporating Agile and other internal processes.

Project Planning & Execution:

  • Clearly define team roles and responsibilities for each project.

  • Ensure all contractual obligations are identified and addressed in planning stages.

  • Oversee and validate pre-job planning tasks before work commencement.

  • Share insights and lessons learned from previous projects to enhance team preparedness.

  • Develop and implement a solid financial strategy, ensuring accurate reporting and positive cash flow.

  • Lead project execution from inception to completion, ensuring contract compliance.

  • Utilize company tools and processes effectively, adjusting Agile reporting as necessary.

  • Maintain up-to-date billing and resolve any outstanding financial discrepancies.

  • Review and approve change order requests, escalating critical project issues when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Management, or a related field. Equivalent industry experience or a union trade background will also be considered.

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in construction project management.

  • Proficiency in electrical, mechanical, structural, civil, and architectural plans, with the ability to analyze schedules, costs, and performance metrics.

  • Strong skills in estimating, scheduling, budgeting, financial reporting, and client relations.

  • Proficient in Google Suite, Primavera Project & Contract Management, and Bluebeam.

  • Experienced in leading teams and mentoring team members.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all levels, from field teams to executive leadership.

  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively for yourself and your team.
