Job description

Union Square & Co. is seeking a highly organized self-starter to assist the SVP/ Publisher of Union Square & Co. and work alongside the VP/Associate Publisher to support the execution of seasonal publishing programs across Editorial, Design, Marketing, Publicity, and Sales. In this role, you will serve as the key hub of communications across the editorial, design, marketing, publicity, sales and corporate management teams for Union Square & Co.
This position is based in our New York City office. Hachette Book Group has a hybrid model is 3 days in-office, 2 days working from home.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Publisher, including scheduling, travel arrangements, and expense management
  • Coordinate seasonal planning meetings (Launch, Strategy, Sales Conference), including timelines, materials, and follow-ups
  • Partner with Editorial, Marketing, Design, and Sales to compile seasonal title lists and ensure metadata accuracy
  • Manage creation and distribution of sales and catalog materials, including Edelweiss submissions and digital assets
  • Oversee production of sales materials (e.g., galleys, F&Gs) and coordinate print quantities and distribution
  • Track deadlines and follow up on missing assets across teams
  • Prepare presentations, meeting materials, and company-wide communications

Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience. Previous administrative experience supporting a senior executive preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Understand the need to maintain highly confidential information
  • Excellent inter-personal, oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; publishing systems experience a plus
  • Ability to adapt to changing needs in a fast-paced environment and evolving industry

The compensation range for this position is $62,000-$68,000. Salary can vary based on a number of factors including skills, experience, and location - talk with your recruiter to learn more.
