Position: Maintenance Millwright
Pay: $29.62 - $36.80/hr - depending on experience/knowledge
Shift: Day shift
The City of Industry, CA paper mill has an opening for an experienced maintenance millwright. The millwright is responsible for corrective and preventative work on all plant mechanical equipment while observing and following all safety regulations with required PPE.
What you will be doing:
  • Ensure the integrity and reliability of the plant's mechanical systems and equipment including conveyors, gearboxes, boilers, pumps, bearings rolls, piping, pulpers and other mechanical equipment
  • Welding of all types of metals using stick or TIG methods
  • Maintain mechanical equipment to meet regulatory codes of, OSHA, and CalOSHA policy.
  • Perform rigging activities, safety-related function and other miscellaneous mechanical functions.
  • Demonstrate safe and proficient use of shop tools (both hand and power)
  • Familiar with preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and corrective maintenance functions.
  • Demonstrate mechanical knowledge.
  • Must demonstrate ability to safely utilize forklifts, boom lifts, and scissor lifts.
  • Must be physically capable of performing work from ladders, scaffolding, and roof to install, maintain, or repair mechanical equipment.
  • Discipline to fill out work order documentation and participate in post failure analysis.
  • Perform duties in a work environment that will be hot, cold, dirty, and fast paced.
  • General support of the Maintenance department as required, such as assisting with troubleshooting, call-ins, shift rotation, unscheduled overtime, 12-hour shifts, scheduled and emergency repairs, shutdown and outage work, projects, etc. Must be able to work after hour during equipment downtime.
