Job Overview
This Spray Painter is responsible for receiving, painting, and protecting materials for storage and shipment to customers. Secondary responsibilities include preparing repair parts for shipment, packing materials, and handling domestic and export orders. The position also involves loading/unloading trucks and performing miscellaneous warehouse tasks.
Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 11:00 pm - 7:00 am
Pay: $26.27 per hour
Shift Differential: $1.25 per hour
Key Job Responsibilities
  • Receive materials for painting/spraying and position them in the paint booth or designated work area.
  • Prepare surfaces by sanding, cleaning, and applying masking tape as needed.
  • Operate spray equipment, adjusting air pressure and nozzle settings for uniform application of primer, finish coats, or protective compounds.
  • Perform touch-ups, mix and thin paints, and refill tanks as required.
  • Spray repair parts and units for excavators with paint, primer, or protectant.
  • Move materials within and outside the warehouse; load and unload trucks as needed.
  • Clean and maintain spray equipment, ensuring nozzles and hoses are in proper condition.
  • Execute packing responsibilities, including:
    • Reviewing packing instructions and specifications.
    • Arranging materials in boxes or crates, using proper packing materials to prevent damage.
    • Performing outside crating for oversized items and cutting materials to build crates or skids.
    • Sealing boxes or securing parts for shipment.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area and adhere to all safety procedures.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Experience with spray painting techniques and equipment is preferred.
  • Ability to handle various protective coatings, paints, and thinners.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations, including material handling and packing.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude for operating cranes, hoists, and fork trucks.
  • Ability to read and follow instructions and specification sheets.
  • Physical capability to lift, move, and position materials safely.
  • Commitment to maintaining safety standards and a clean work environment.
