Job description

Bucket Operator

Kendall Vegetation Services is hiring Bucket Operators in Newark, OH and surrounding areas. The Bucket Operator effectively and safely operates a bucket truck to remove branches and tree material from electrical lines. Valid driver's license is required. Essential Function Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Always follow and help enforce safe practices and rules.
  • Assist in preparing equipment and materials for each day's work at Foreperson's direction.
  • Operate equipment as directed by Foreperson.
  • Help maintain and repair equipment and tools used in operations.
  • Assist other crew members in all aspects of daily activities and take a leadership role when required.
  • Cleans up and disposes of all debris.
  • Sets up barriers, warning signs, flags, markers, etc. to protect employees and public.
  • Keeps informed on new equipment, specifications, standard practices, operating procedures, and customer and company employee relations policies and practices
  • Track and report mileage to Foreperson
  • Perform duties for storm work as needed
  • Performs daily reporting using AMS system to submit timesheets and billing information.
  • Maintain above standard customer relations.
  • Accident Reporting.

Education and Experience

  • Two years' experience in Vegetation Management.
  • Bucket truck operation experience required.
  • Knowledge of daily maintenance and safe operations of all equipment used.
  • Able to hear verbal instructions from a distance.
  • Must have a driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must have skid steer w/ mulcher operation experience.
  • Experience in safe operations and maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
  • Must have experience operating woodchipper.
  • Split dump driving experience preferred.
