Responsibilities

MV Transportation is seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to provide leadership, direction, and operational oversight for an assigned location. This role ensures the successful delivery of annual business plans, full compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements, and the consistent execution of company policies and procedures. The Operations Manager plays a critical role in service reliability, workforce management, customer satisfaction, and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership & Service Delivery

  • Oversee and control daily transit operations in accordance with agency policies and company standards.
  • Coordinate, attend, and help organize all revenue service assignments, including full operational support for major special events (MLB, NFL, NBA, concerts, and large community events).
  • Conduct runcut analysis to optimize labor utilization, reduce inefficiencies, and improve service performance.
  • Manage shakeups, and operator bidding processes to ensure efficient workforce scheduling and compliance with contractual requirements.

Reliability & Performance Management

  • Monitor key operational metrics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis and deliver timely actionable feedback to staff to ensure KPI targets are achieved.
  • Improve service reliability and ontime performance through realtime field monitoring, rapid response to service disruptions, and datainformed adjustments.
  • Implement effective servicerecovery strategies, including delay mitigation, route diversions, and realtime corrective actions.

Administrative & Compliance Functions

  • Verify accuracy of operational data; gather, input, and validate information submitted by staff.
  • Preparation, and execution of daily operational reports to ensure compliance with company, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in periodic departmental audits and ensure adherence to all policies and procedures.

Customer, Client & Employee Relations

  • Lead customerrelations efforts by handling customer complaints, engaging directly with riders, and ensuring concerns are resolved effectively.
  • Maintain regular communication with staff, support teams, and clients to meet or exceed expectations.
  • Participate in labor and employee relations activities, including working collaboratively within a unionized environment and supporting contract compliance.
  • Foster a positive, productive, and safetyfocused workplace culture.
Qualifications

Talent Requirements:

  • Minimum three (3) years of management experience in a fixed route.
  • Demonstrated experience in scheduling, personnel management, and training.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Thorough understanding of contractual obligations and company policies.
  • Proven ability to manage a fastpaced, highdemand operational environment.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with required endorsements.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment, including understanding of collective bargaining agreements, work rules, and labormanagement relations.

Starting salary range: $100,500 to $111,500
