Job Description
BAE Systems, one of the world's leading defense contractors and a stable Fortune 500 company, has a need for several mechanics at the Radford Army Ammunition Plant. These positions will start on day shift during training and the shift may vary after that.
As a mechanic, you will:
Inspect, dismantle and repair process equipment, machinery, piping and buildings.
Perform any of the duties of Millwrights B, Pipefitters B, or Carpenters B, according to his skill and training and, in addition, perform a few of the duties of other classifications with some degree of skill.
Report accurately any mechanical faults discovered.
Perform work to a high standard in a safe, efficient and economical manner.
Perform duties according to his skill and training to high quality standards in a safe, efficient and economical manner with average supervision.

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $32 to $35 per hour (or $66,560 to $72,800 annually). Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as shift differentials or the terms outlined in an applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), which will ultimately determine your wages.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
High School or equivalent and 5 years related industrial experience or associate's degree and 3 years related industrial experience.
Ability to work as a Millwright B, Pipefitter B, Welding, or Carpenter B.
Ability to perform work to a high standard in a safe, efficient and economical manner.
Report accurately any mechanical faults discovered.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Preferred to have at least 3 years maintenance expericance in an industrial enviroment.
