Job description

Highland Lumber & Mill is hiring a General Laborer for tailoff on our hardwood mill line. You'll sort, stack, and inspect lumber as it comes off the line — keeping quality high and production moving.

What You'll Do

Sort, stack, and inspect lumber for defects and accuracy

Operate hand tools, power tools, and (with training) forklifts/sawmill equipment

Monitor machines and materials for quality and safety

Keep basic logs/checklists and report equipment issues

Follow safety protocols and work as a team

What You Need

Ability to follow instructions and safety rules

Basic math and attention to detail

Good communication and teamwork

Physical stamina to lift, stack, and move lumber all shift

Willingness to learn new equipment and processes

Nice to Have: Mill/warehouse experience, forklift certification

Training provided. Fast-paced, safety-first environment.
