Q3 Contracting is seeking Gas Meter Technicians to support various territories in Minnesota and Wisconsin. In this role, the Gas Meter Technician will focus on troubleshooting, ensuring compliance with safety standards, providing customer consultations, and generating detailed service field reports.
This position offers competitive pay and provides opportunities to work across diverse locations in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Responsibilities:
  • Travel within Minnesota and Wisconsin
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose gas system issues
  • Ensure gas systems and operations meet all compliance standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Provide consultation with customers on gas-related matters, offering expert advice to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Generate detailed and accurate service field reports, documenting inspections, troubleshooting activities, and resolutions.
  • Conduct inspections of gas systems and infrastructure to assess performance, identify potential issues, and ensure operational integrity.
  • Work closely with utility company personnel and other contractors to maintain consistent service quality and safety standards.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and assist in problem resolution, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with no restrictions
  • Willingness to use basic mobile apps to help complete tasks
  • Willing to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other safety regulations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, (as needed) for customer consultations or troubleshooting emergencies.
  • Ability to communicate politely and clearly with customers during service visits
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Work in heat, cold, wind, and rain
  • Ability to travel (some overnight) throughout MN and WI
