About the Position: This position is located at the State Veterans Cemetery in Newton, MS. Third-level seasoned vocational worker accountable for performing a variety of semi-skilled work in the alteration, maintenance, and repair of state buildings and facilities. At this level, employees work in and have general knowledge of a variety of trade areas including: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, and mechanical repair in settings such as facilities and grounds. May oversee a crew engaged in maintenance tasks. This position serves as a career transition point for employees to either continue with this family or transfer to the Specialty Trades and Construction Family.
What you'll need to be Successful: Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Excellent customer service skills, strong attention to detail. Ability to work as part of a cohesive team.
