Job Description

Our Shelter Solutions business offers a comprehensive portfolio of metal roof and wall systems and complete pre-engineered building systems that are optimized for strength, durability and design flexibility. Our portfolio of brands is supported by our industry leading expertise and our relentless focus on processes and technologies that enable our customers to operate faster, easier and in a more connected way.

The District Sales Manager (DSM) is responsible for identifying, marketing to, and selling to customers-both existing and new-within the northern Ohio region. The role reports to the Regional Sales Manager, with additional reporting responsibility to the VP of Sales for RMR.

The DSM also services major accounts in their region and collaborates internally with General Managers, Inside Sales Managers, Production and Shipping Managers, Accounting, and other corporate teams. Externally, the DSM maintains relationships with customers across the region. Key Responsibilities

Major Account & Customer Management

  • Service major accounts such as Lowe's, Home Depot, ABC Supply, 84 Lumber, plus key independent dealers.
  • Support new store openings, conduct product knowledge training, handle special orders, and provide in-store service.
  • Market to roofing specialty stores and similar regional customers.
  • Work directly with contractors as needed.

Sales Strategy & Territory Development

  • Develop geographic market strategies to grow the region.
  • Create and execute customerspecific marketing strategies.
  • Prospect and qualify new customers.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline of prospects and ongoing customer relationships.

Sales Execution & Reporting

  • Schedule prospect meetings and present the Cornerstone value proposition.
  • Track sales activities in CRM; maintain updated account records.
  • Distribute weekly update/call reports.
  • Meet or exceed budget/quota and all KPIs.
  • Manage price changes with assigned customers.
  • Attend regional trade shows as requested.

CrossFunctional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with internal teams to optimize sales efforts.
  • Work closely with facility staff to align sales activities with operations.

Product Knowledge

  • Maintain strong knowledge of Union Corrugating / American Building Components products, including Metal Sales solutions, and stay informed on competitor offerings.
Qualifications
  • Selfmotivated, highenergy, competitive, and detailoriented.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Experience in building products and/or construction.
  • Proven sales record with ability to think strategically.
  • Strong relationshipbuilding skills.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to visit customer locations weekly.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Potential for travel 2-3 overnights per week 
Additional Information

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $70,000 - 95,000 + bonus + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. (Full-time is defined as regularly working 30+ hours per week.)
