Job Summary
The IT Solutions Architect partners with business and technology leaders to define, design, and govern enterprise solutions that enable business objectives and align with tk accelis Materials NA architecture standards. The role provides architectural leadership across the solution lifecycle, from strategy and roadmap development through implementation and operational transition. The architect ensures solutions are secure, scalable, cost-effective, and aligned with enterprise architecture principles.
Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
Business & Solution Strategy
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to understand business goals, capabilities, and requirements.
  • Translate business needs into solution architectures, roadmaps, and business cases.
  • Assess emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve business outcomes, agility, and cost effectiveness.
  • Provide architectural guidance and thought leadership across strategic initiatives.

Solution Architecture & Delivery
  • Lead architecture design for enterprise applications, integrations, data, cloud, and infrastructure solutions.
  • Define target-state architectures and transition roadmaps.
  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise standards, security requirements, and operational objectives.
  • Identify architectural risks, technical debt, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support project teams throughout solution delivery and operational transition.

Portfolio & Lifecycle Management
  • Maintain visibility of assigned application and solution portfolios.
  • Evaluate solution fit, modernization opportunities, lifecycle planning, and retirement decisions.
  • Develop recommendations that optimize value, reduce complexity, and improve technology sustainability.
  • Support architecture governance processes and investment planning activities.

Enterprise Architecture & Governance
  • Participate in the Enterprise Architecture Council (EAC), Architecture Review Board (ARB) and related governance forums.
  • Define and enforce architecture principles, standards, patterns, and reference architectures.
  • Review proposed solutions for alignment with enterprise strategy, security, compliance, and technology standards.
  • Contribute to the maturity and continuous improvement of the enterprise architecture practice.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in solution, application, infrastructure, cloud, or enterprise architecture.
  • 3+ years designing and implementing complex enterprise technology solutions.
  • Experience developing architecture roadmaps, business cases, and strategic technology recommendations.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and facilitating stakeholder decision-making.
  • Broad knowledge across:
    • Solution & Application Architecture
    • Cloud & Infrastructure Architecture
    • Integration Architecture
    • Data & Information Architecture
    • Security Architecture
    • IT Governance & Enterprise Architecture
  • Strong communication, analytical, and relationship-management skills.
  • Experience presenting to technical and executive audiences.

Preferred Requirements:
  • MBA or advanced technical degree.
  • TOGAF, Azure, AWS, GCP, or related architecture certifications.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA, Microsoft Dynamics 365, AI/ML, integration platforms, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Knowledge of Agile, DevOps, ITIL, and modern architecture practices.
  • Experience developing enterprise architecture strategies, standards, and governance frameworks.
