Job description

Description: Position Profile Overview: In this role, responsibilities will include participating in the design and development of ETL and Data Modeling. In this role the person must possess previous ETL and DW development experience and several related skills - Database design and translation, the ability to identify and troubleshoot any issues that arise in the database, designing queries and reports, and writing scripts within the database. In addition, this position will provide database support to other members in the analytics team and lead how to use the database efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities:

  • Work with senior data engineers to architect, design, and detail processes
  • Troubleshoot issues, document processes, review checklists and develop a reference implementation
  • Communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand and define business needs and translate them to a data context
  • Perform integration testing, regression testing, and formal qualification testing in an agile software development environment
  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize efficiency and quality
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
  • Support technical team deployment with activities to ensure a smooth go-live of new processes, products, or systems
  • Understand the existing system and processes to document
  • Reverse knowledge transfer to document the process of support and maintenance Functional Competencies
  • Strong experience with Snowflake, Microsoft Office tools, especially creating/ maintaining Excel spreadsheets
  • High level of attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to accurately sort and analyze data
  • Ability to communicate ideas both verbally and in writing
  • Must be willing to learn additional data engineering and analytics toolsets.
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with programming languages (SQL, Python, Java, R, etc.)

Acts as an organizational ambassador by professionally representing Patelco within and outside of the credit union.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 3+ years' experience working with Snowflake and leading data management and analytics processes, projects, and releases that are enterprise in nature.
