Job Summary:
Mindlance is seeking a hands-on Windows Systems Administrator with strong experience in building, configuring, and supporting Windows Server environments. The role involves installing and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools, while also monitoring IT systems and ensuring security and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
• Assists in installing and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
• Assists in monitoring installed systems and infrastructure for the organization.
• Assists with upholding security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
• Assists in maintaining custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower human intervention time on tasks.
• Provides remote access solution support: VPN, Terminal Services, Citrix, and Hyper-V.
• Develops and maintains IT documentation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Supports the organization's quality program(s).
• Travels as required.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field from an accredited college or university required.
• Five (5) years of experience implementing and maintaining technology infrastructure or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Experience building and configuring Windows Server (2016/2019/2022/2025) from installation through production readiness.
• Ability to perform OS hardening, patching, and baseline configuration.
• Understands Windows Event Viewer for root cause analysis (System, Application, Security logs).
• Comfortable working incidents end-to-end, from detection to resolution.
• Experience configuring and maintaining system monitoring and alerting.
• Knowledge of Cloud based applications, preferably Azure.
• Knowledge of virtualization and containerization.
• Knowledge of Networking (OSI network layers, TCP/IP).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
• PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to create and complete comprehensive, accurate and constructive written reports.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies.
• Credit check and background check are required.
