Job description

You will serve as an INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (APPSW/OS) INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT (N6) in the of NVRECRUITNGCMD.Qualifications:Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying project management methodologies to develop and manage complex projects, 2) Developing and maintaining project schedules to identify deviations and initiate timely corrective actions, 3) Utilizing interviewing techniques to elicit requirements and develop documentation to evaluate the feasibility of new applications, 4) Applying software design principles and methods to design, develop, and integrate system components, ensuring alignment with planned application strategies and data environments, and 5) Presenting technical and project-related information effectively to diverse stakeholders. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
Education:In lieu of specialized experience listed in the Qualifications section, applicants may qualify based on education OR equivalent combination of experience and education as follows:
- I have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management.
OR
- I have successfully completed 3 full years (54 hours) of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; or, graduate education that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.

OR
- I have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
