No industrial laundry experience is required. We're not looking for industry veterans, we're looking for proven leaders who know how to run a P&L, develop a team, and drive results, and who are ready to learn our business from the ground up through a structured, paid training program. This is not an entry-level position; it's designed specifically for mid-career and senior managers with a track record of success elsewhere who want to step into a General Manager role.

Mission Linen Supply is a family-owned, privately held company and a leading provider of linen, uniform, and facility service products across five western states. Founded in 1930 and headquartered in Santa Barbara, CA, Mission has grown from a one-man operation into an industry leader, while remaining stable, essential, and steadily growing. Industrial laundry and linen services are a recession-resistant, essential industry in hospitals, hotels, and restaurants w need clean linens and uniforms regardless of the economy. That means real, ongoing opportunities for career advancement, not a static org chart.
The Opportunity: General Manager Trainee
As a General Manager Trainee, you'll go through a 30-week structured training program designed to prepare experienced managers like you to run one of our locations. You are not expected to know our industry going in, that's what the program is for.
The training program includes:
  • Rotations through key departments so you (and we) can identify where your skills and interests best fit
  • Ongoing support from senior management, with regular progress reviews
  • Company-sponsored management development workshops
  • A clear track into General Manager and other key leadership roles across the company

Upon successful completion, you'll transition into a management position leading your own team and location.

  • After training: your base salary grows based on the revenue of the location you lead

Benefits
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Retirement savings program
  • Paid time off (sick, holiday, vacation)

Relocation Requirement
Candidates must be willing to relocate to manage a location within their first three years in the program. Relocation is a required, ongoing expectation of this career path, not a one-time ask.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 10+ years of management experience (required)
  • A proven track record building and executing sales strategies that grow revenue and profitability
  • Experience owning Profit and Loss (P&L) accountability and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in labor, inventory, and operational costs

  • A demonstrated focus on customer service and customer retention
  • Willingness to relocate for career advancement
  • College degree preferred; military experience valued
  • Curiosity, drive, and a genuine willingness to learn a new industry from the ground up
