Job Description
Senior Underwriter
Location: Woodbridge, VA
OR
*****WILL CONSIDER REMOTE ACCESS FOR EXPERIENCED CANDIDATES***
This Senior Underwriter is responsible for the following:
• Responsible for reviewing initial underwriting files and reviewing final conditions
• Must have ability to underwrite 4-5 loans a day or 100 loans a month on average
• Must meet company established goals for turn times on initial and condition review
• Must have very extensive knowledge of all loan programs
• Ability to underwrite without supervision
• Consistently out performs lower level underwriting team members
• Assists Underwriting Manager with training lower level team members
• Must maintain not only speed, but accuracy in all areas of underwriting
• Responds in a timely manner to any QC, Investor or GSE deficiency
Qualifications
• Underwriter will have at least 10 years+ of underwriting experience or equivalent.
Must have certification to underwrite FHA, VA and/or USDA, and Conventional Loans.
Must be DE Certified.
• This level requires minimal supervision.
• Must be a Team Player and work closely with the sales team to ensure every option available is made to find best loan programs available for a borrower.
