The Internship will join a lean team tasked with executing the firm's business plans and have regular exposure to the firm's management team.The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a demonstrated ability to learn and apply new skills and concepts.The individual should be able to thrive in an environment that is highly entrepreneurial, both strategic and creative, and that requires strong skills in the areas of analytics, multitasking, prioritizing and communication.
• Supporting team members in day-to-day tasks such as financial underwriting, property operations analysis, lease negotiation and analysis, construction management, market research, and other responsibilities associated with managing the firm's commercial real estate portfolio
• Providing due diligence through online resources and discussions with market participants.
• Preparing internal reports for senior management to guide decision making
Requirements
• Senior pursuing a bachelor's degree with excellent academic record
• Preference, but not requirement, for a major in Finance, Accounting, Management or Economics
• Demonstrated interest in real estate finance, valuation, and capital markets
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to learn
• Must possess attention to detail and take pride in their work
• Organized and efficient, with ability to define priorities and "get things done"
• A confident, team player who listens to internal and external input and wants to gain experience
• Understanding of basic accounting concepts and financial statements
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, is required
