Job description

Company Overview:
We are a leading underground drilling company specializing in utility installation. Our team is committed to safety, quality, and operational excellence in every project we deliver.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Field Safety Supervisor to oversee safety compliance and quality control across our job sites. This role is primarily field-based (approximately 90% field / 10% office) and plays a critical role in maintaining our high safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor safety compliance and job performance
  • Perform and oversee Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) processes
  • Lead and coordinate quarterly safety training programs
  • Manage and support damage prevention efforts
  • Investigate and complete damage reports
  • Oversee and maintain Operator Qualifications (OQs)
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Provide guidance and support to field crews to promote a strong safety culture

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in underground utilities, drilling, or construction safety
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices
  • Experience with QA/QC processes and field inspections
  • Familiarity with damage prevention and reporting procedures
  • Experience managing or coordinating OQ programs preferred
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based environment
