About the Role:
Desert Elite Electric & Construction, Inc is looking for a hardworking and dependable Underground Laborer to join our growing team in Indio, CA. This is a hands-on opportunity to be part of exciting construction projects in the desert, where your work makes a real impact every day. If you thrive in a fast-paced outdoor environment and take pride in quality craftsmanship and safety, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
  • Assist with underground utility installation, including conduit, cable, and electrical infrastructure
  • Perform excavation, trenching, and backfilling operations using hand and power tools
  • Support crew members during underground electrical and construction projects
  • Follow all jobsite safety protocols, OSHA standards, and company procedures
  • Operate and maintain hand tools, shovels, compactors, and other labor equipment
  • Assist with site preparation, cleanup, and material handling throughout the project lifecycle
  • Communicate effectively with foremen and crew leads to ensure efficient workflow
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in underground construction, utility work, or general labor preferred
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, digging, and standing for extended periods
  • Familiarity with trenching, shoring, and underground utility safety practices is a plus
