Description
Team Fishel , the Best Choice in Utility Construction, is hiring Qualified Underground Electric Terminators for our Chesterfield, VA operation. The Terminator is a skilled position in the construction, maintenance and repair of electrical underground distribution systems.
Duties
  • Work safely while performing new construction, maintenance or repair work of energized and de-energized underground secondary cable voltage
  • Lead crew and represent Team Fishel in absence of the Foreman
  • Possess a working knowledge of all aspects of underground distribution
  • Able to identify primary and secondary voltage
  • Must be able and qualified to splice up to 600 volts
  • Understands grounding procedures
  • Understands confined space requirements
  • Capable of properly installing and removing PPE and cover up
  • Understands underground services and infrastructure
  • Possesses knowledge of underground switching procedures
  • Performs all other related work as required to complete the job

Requirements
  • 3+ years demonstrated experience in terminating underground secondary cables
  • Valid driver's license is required
  • Knowledge in identifying underground utility locates
  • Possess knowledge of tools for terminating cable
  • Capable of terminating different sizes of secondary cables
  • Knowledge in troubleshooting underground circuits
  • Able to identify unforeseen obstacles that would hinder safety or production
  • Able to work for extended periods in various locations, when required

Starting pay rate $22 - $35 / hour
