POSITION TITLE: Adjunct Hiring Pool -Teacher Education: Culturally & Linguistically Diverse (CLD)
COMPENSATION RANGE: 1,080.00 - 1,300.00 per credit hour

Position Summary:
The School of Teacher Education at the University ofNorthern Colorado invites applications for part-time faculty positions as webuild our capacity to offer quality instruction to all students. Part-timefaculty hired will become vital members of the School's nationally recognizedteacher preparation programs, committed to the preparation of culturallyresponsive education.
These positions are filled semester by semester based on the needs of thedifferent programs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree or doctoral degree in relevant, andappropriate area; Successful PK-12 teaching experience with culturally andlinguistically diverse students.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge and prior experience teaching a variety ofundergraduate and graduate courses related to ESL/CLD: second languageacquisition, foundations of linguistics for educators, academic language andliteracy instruction for diverse learners, methods and assessment approachesfor CLD students, CLD field experiences/practicum (withsupervision);
Experience with TESOL/CLD practicum supervision; Experience orknowledge in differentiated CLD instruction, second language andacademic language/literacy instruction and assessment.

Full-time employees are eligible to receive tuition waiver benefits, as well as dependents and spouses of UNC Employees who are employed at 0.5 FTE or above are eligible for undergraduate dependent tuition grants of up to 50%. These tuition grants will cover in-state tuition charges. Further requirements may exist. Other benefits may be available based on position.
