Position Summary
This position will serve as a Postdoctoral Research Associate with the Department of Ophthalmology at UNC Chapel Hill. The duties will include: 
- Plan, direct, and conduct specialized and advanced research experiments
- Evaluate and analyze data
- Establish new research protocols and procedures 
- Summarize research findings and publish results in research journals 
- Oversee laboratory operations on a limited basis 
- Supervise research staff or learners as required.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
MD or PhD in a basic science, health science, or a related field.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Ability to follow lab procedures and protocols for conducting high-level research to maintain integrity of research data and ensure compliance. 
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Prior experience in high-performing academic medical research setting.
