Security Account Manager

Are you looking to be part of a company where teamwork is encouraged? A company with plenty of growth and career advancement opportunities? Look no further because we are currently seeking an Director of Security to join our growing USI team.Under the direction of The Regional Director of Operations, The Security Account Manager will ensure day-to-day compliance with requirements of the service contract. This individual will also select, train, supervise, and otherwise direct and develop all security employees assigned to the service contract.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assure that all work schedules for regular and special assignments are designed to provide the service in the most effective and efficient manner possible.
  • Assure that overtime and un-billable hours are minimized.
  • Ensure that trained and qualified security personnel properly staff all posts.
  • Conduct initial orientation and monitor on the job and in-service training of newly assigned security personnel.
  • Ensure that all security personnel are aware of and perform their duties in full compliance with the facility security operations procedures and location policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Ensure that assigned security personnel are kept up-to date on any modifications to procedures, policies, or regulations.
  • Work with management in the development and implementation of sound employee relations, development, and retention programs for the location.
  • Counsel, advise, motivate, and (when necessary) provide discipline and positive reinforcement to personnel assigned to the location.
  • Schedule and conduct formal and informal employee performance reviews. Prepare and facilitate reviews and approvals for all employee wage/grade changes, promotions, or other changes in job status.
  • Schedule standard hours of coverage at least two weeks in advance and ensure that both the working and master schedule is prominently posted for security personnel's review.
  • Schedule and supervise special assignments and details at locations as required.
  • Prepare all work schedules and weekly payroll time sheets.
  • Conduct periodic checks and inspections of assigned security personnel on all shifts to ensure they are properly performing such duties.
  • Review and approve all reports, duty logs, etc. submitted by security personnel to the Regional Director of Operations.
  • Assure that the site security operations procedures and post orders manual is maintained and regularly reviewed and updated.
  • Ensure timely notification of all serious incidents.
  • Assume other duties as required by either Client or United Security, Inc

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  1. Experience in a security management setting preferred.
  2. Minimum 2 years experience managing a security staff of at least 15 employees.
  3. Computer Literacy, minimum 2 years experience working with integrated security systems, and advanced skill level with Microsoft Office
  4. Proven Leadership and Problem solving abilities, and excellent written and verbal communication
  5. Excellent Organizational Skills and able to multi-task projects
  6. Exceptional organizational and listening skills
  7. Ability to work independently, with limited supervision.
