•Annual ED volume: 22K

•Coverage model: 24 hours of physician coverage daily

•42 hours of NP/PA coverage weekly

•25 Acute Care Beds

•EMR: EPIC

•Level IV Trauma Center

•Independent Contractor (IC) Model

•Malpractice – Claims Based / Unlimited tail coverage


UMMC Greenwood Leflore Hospital, formerly Greenwood Leflore Hospital, has been serving Greenwood and its surrounding communities for more than 100 years. Joining UMMC Madison, Grenada and Holmes County in UMMC’s growing network of community hospitals.


Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible 
  • EM, IM, or FM
  • If not ABEM, must have ACLS, PALS, ATLS
  • Case logs requested – 2 years


Greenwood, MS is a historic Delta community and the county seat of Leflore County, located in the heart of the Mississippi Delta. The city has a population of approximately 14,500 residents and serves as a regional hub for healthcare, commerce, and education throughout the surrounding Delta communities

Greenwood serves a large multi-county service area across the Mississippi Delta. Physicians can practice a broad scope of Emergency Medicine with a diverse patient population
