Job Description SummaryOrganization's Summary Statement:
To provide day-to-day management of all area maintenance activities in assigned zone.
Physical Demands:
Work is performed in both an office environment and in the field. Incumbent will be required to perform some hands-on tasks as well as to inspect the work of others, which will require the ability to work in hazardous or irritating environments, including confined spaces, lifting, bending, stooping, working at heights, and in adverse conditions. Incumbent must be able to wear and work in personal protective equipment. Position is that of an Essential Employee, subject to a 24 hour/ day, 7 day/week span of operation.
This position is ineligible for telework.
Preferences:
Experience in a facilities maintenance, multi-facility environment desired.
Ten (10) years progressively responsible experience in the trade(s) where assigned to include at least three (3) years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
Licenses/ Certifications:
Must possess and maintain a valid class C Maryland Driver's license or equivalent with fewer than 6 points.Minimum QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Experience: Three (3) years of facilities, operations, construction, or maintenance experience. Other: Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education. Knowledge of building systems. Knowledge of building operations requirements.Skill in oral and written communication.Skill in the use of Microsoft Office products. Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments.Additional Job Details
