JOB SUMMARY
Cumberland Dairy has immediate job openings for a skilled plant Sanitation Maintenance Technician responsible for general maintenance, preventative maintenance, and/or troubleshooting and repair of equipment such as CIP skids, production machines/equipment, sanitizer and chemical systems. Work with a limited degree of supervision, with oversight focused on complex and/or new assignments.

OUR TECHNICIANS FOR THIS POSITION START AT AN HOURLY RATE OF:
  • $24.00 - $30.00 per hour

SCHEDULE: Weekly
Tuesday through Saturday, Night Shift

REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • 3 years of sanitary maintenance preferably in a manufacturing environment with strong emphasis on CIP and chemical equipment troubleshooting
  • Experience with a variety of preventative maintenance tasks including rebuilding valves, CIP pumps, filler and product line valves and gaskets, preferably in dairy manufacturing environment
  • Must provide own tools
  • Certification and/or License - OSHA Forklift Safety Certification (Written and practical test), confined space, aerial lift, and other onsite training programs may be required during course of employment
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background, and criminal checks
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Must be able to read, speak, and write in English
  • Must be able to legibly write entries for record keeping
  • Must be able to handle basic hand tools
  • Must be able to stand, walk, kneel and bend required for virtually the entire shift; occasionally required to climb or balance
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with capabilities to lift up to 80 pounds
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holiday
