Summary
Responsible for generating new installation projects for alarm systems through electrical contractors and end users, estimating project based on cost of labor, equipment, and materials; securing the monitoring/service contract following the installation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Identify, develop, and maintain quality clients within the Fire Alarm market that align with the growth strategy of the business.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain market-specific business plans for growth.
  • Service existing accounts to maximize service and account retention while cross-selling across multiple product offerings.
  • Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
  • Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Estimate projects including fixed price service as required for projects ranging from $100k-$1MM+.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
  • Maintain oversight and responsibility for all projects within in the portfolio.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and 3+ years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior fire alarm or low voltage sales experience is required.
Computer Skills
Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HRIS Systems (prefer UltiPro).
