Job Title - Clinical Infectious Disease Physician

Department Name - Internal Medicine & Divisions - Infectious Diseases

Work Location - Lexington, KY

Type of Position - Faculty

Position Time Status - Full-Time

Tenure Track Status - Non-Tenure Track

Required Education - MD / DO or equivalent

Required Related Experience - Completion of ACGME-accredited Infectious Diseases fellowship

Required License/Registration/Certification - Eligible for KY Medical license; Board Certified in Internal Medicine; Eligible for Infectious Diseases Board Certification

Job Summary - As a result of remarkable clinical, teaching, and research growth, the University of Kentucky College of Medicine is currently seeking faculty candidates to expand the Division of Infectious Diseases within the Department of Internal Medicine. Qualified candidates must be board certified/board eligible in Infectious Diseases and have strong teaching and clinical skills. Candidates will be responsible for attending UK HealthCare inpatient consult services and ambulatory services for a wide variety of illnesses, such as HIV/AIDS, and bacterial, viral, fungal and parasitic infections. Opportunities are available to engage in innovative projects related to the care of vulnerable patient populations including those affected by the opiate crisis. UK HealthCare is located in the beautiful Bluegrass Region of Lexington and is an ideal location to experience the work-life balance we strive to provide for all our employees.
