UiPath AI Engineer / Tech Lead (Only w2 )
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 months+
 
Job Description: 
Works closely with clients, business analysts and team members to understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. These solutions must be aligned with business and IT strategies and are in compliance with the organization's architectural standards. Application Developers are involved in the full systems life cycle and therefore are responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing and supporting application software that is delivered on time and within budget.
Responsibilities beyond development of software may include: 
•    Participation in component and data architecture design
•    Technology planning
•    Product evaluation
•    Advanced testing processes
•    Buy vs. build recommendations.
•    Individuals also provide input to project plans related to the Application Development initiative.
•    Application Developers have a strong knowledge of programming languages used by the organization.
•    They have experience in systems design and have a solid understanding of development, database development, testing, and integration methodologies.
•    Knowledge of current and emerging IT products, services and processes is required.
Work Complexity
•    Works on major projects as a project team member, sometimes as a project lead.
•    Works on projects that may span a broad range of applications.
•    Supports multiple applications.
•    Expertise in multiple technical environments and possesses business knowledge that spans one or more business areas.
Education/ Experience
•    Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
•    7 years of application programming and analysis experience required.
•    Has a broad level understanding of surrounding information systems and application architecture standards.
•    Experience in leading projects required.
•    Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret very complex problems or processes that span multiple business areas, identify and understand requirements and develop alternate solutions.
•    Experience designing, developing and testing applications using proven or emerging technologies.
Technical Skills/Requirements:
•    The UiPath AI Engineer / Tech Lead is responsible for designing, developing, and leading intelligent automation solutions using UiPath’s RPA and AI ecosystem. The role combines hands-on development with technical leadership, ensuring high-quality delivery of AI-enhanced automation projects.
Key Responsibilities
•    Lead design and development of UiPath automation solutions, including AI Center and Document Understanding.
•    Build and deploy AI/ML models to enhance automation accuracy and efficiency.
•    Integrate workflows with APIs, databases, cloud services, and enterprise systems.
•    Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and mentorship to RPA developers.
•    Collaborate with business teams to assess processes, define requirements, and deliver scalable solutions.
•    Oversee deployment, monitoring, and optimization through UiPath Orchestrator.
•    Troubleshoot issues, maintain existing automations, and ensure best practices and governance.
 
Required Skills
•    Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
•    Strong expertise with UiPath Studio, Orchestrator, AI Center, Document Understanding, and Action Center.
•    Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn).
•    Experience with OCR technologies (Document Understanding, ABBYY, Google Vision, Azure Form Recognizer).
•    Knowledge of API integration, REST/SOAP services, SQL/NoSQL databases.
•    Understanding of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) and containerization (Docker).
•    Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps for automation
•    AI & ML Expertise
•    Design and build custom ML models (Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn) to solve business-specific problems.
•    Fine-tune and optimize models for accuracy, performance, and scalability.
•    Manage model lifecycle: training, retraining, versioning, monitoring, and drift detection.
•    Utilize GenAI, NLP, LLM-based solutions to enhance automation (ChatGPT-like assistants, classification models, summarization tools, etc.).
