About the CNA to LPN Bridge Program:

In partnership with University of Hawai’i Maui College’s hybrid Practical Nursing (PN) program, the CNA to LPN Bridge is designed especially for working CNAs and other healthcare professionals who want to become Licensed Practical Nurses. Eligible employees on four islands have an opportunity to become Practical Nurses while they are working. Practical Nurses graduates with the Certificate of Achievement and are prepared to work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse at our Ohana Pacific Health Communities.

The CNA to LPN Bridge Program begins January 2027 and ends in December 2027. A separate UHMC nursing program application is required for consideration in the program and will be available in September 2026! Apply Now to connect with our Talent Acquisition Team to learn more and review next steps.


Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. / Minimum age of 18.
  • Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification with the State of Hawaii or currently enrolled in a State Approved Nurse Aide Program.
  • Bridge Program requires prerequisites completed by September 2026
  • Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance (can be done in-house).
