Job description

Position Location: UH Geauga Women’s Specialties, Geauga Ohio

Position Type: Full-Time Physician

Specialty: OB/GYN

Every day, for more than 150 years, the physicians of University Hospitals have renewed a promise to meeting our patients’ health care needs. Our talented team is integral to our rich history of success and critical to our future in a dynamic environment. As stewards of the UH legacy for excellence in patient care, our physicians are guided by an unwavering commitment to our mission:

To Heal. To Teach. To Discover.

As a system, University Hospital’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology delivers approximately 8,000 patients a year at five different labor and delivery units across the Cleveland area.  Delivery hospitals include our main referral center at MacDonald Women’s Hospital as well as units at St. John’s, Ahuja, Geauga, and Tripoint Medical Centers.  Several additional sites, including UH Parma Hospital, UH Portage Hospital, and UH Samaritan Hospital provide GYN surgical services.  The system is fully integrated with all the major specialties, with 24/7 MFM and Gyn Onc backup being available.

The Department is seeking a physician for UH Geauga Women’s Specialties.  The group is a highly respected and well-established OB/GYN practice serving Geauga and the surrounding counties in Northeast Ohio.  Consisting of a caring and compassionate group of five board certified physicians and one CNP, the group offers comprehensive obstetrical and gynecologic care. All services—including gynecologic surgery (focused on minimally invasive approaches) and delivery of obstetrical patients, are performed at University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center. The Medical Center is frequently listed on Fortune/IBM Watson Health’s “100 Top Hospitals” list, recognizing clinical outcomes, operational efficiency, and patient experience.

The practice has a well-balanced mix of both obstetrical and gynecologic patients. There is a high patient volume with a strong following in the community and room for growth.  Opportunities for close collaboration exist with all the major subspecialties, including maternal fetal medicine, gynecologic oncology, and urogynecology.  The call rotation is split evenly with flexibility available when needed.

Located approximately 30 miles east of Cleveland, Geauga County is known for its history, culture, and beautiful countryside.  Home to the country’s second-largest Amish population, the area also boasts a number of respected wineries and maple syrup producers. The area offers the beauty of country living with easy access to all the amenities offered by the Cleveland metropolitan area.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and primary board certification. Compensation is highly competitive.
