What is a UGC Content job?

A UGC (User-Generated Content) content job involves creating authentic, engaging content—such as videos, reviews, or social media posts—on behalf of brands. Unlike influencers, UGC creators focus on producing relatable content without necessarily leveraging a personal following. Brands use this content for marketing, advertising, or social media purposes to build trust and engagement with their audience.

What are the typical daily tasks of a UGC Content Creator?

As a UGC Content Creator, your days typically involve brainstorming content ideas, shooting short-form videos or photos, editing media with popular tools, and writing engaging captions or scripts tailored to specific brand campaigns. You’ll regularly collaborate with marketing teams or clients to align your work with their messaging and goals. Monitoring social media trends, responding to feedback, and refining content based on performance analytics are also key aspects of the job. This dynamic mix of creative production and strategy makes for a varied and fast-paced work environment.

Job description

Content & Social Media Strategist

Client: Jewelry Company

Employment Type: Full-time

Location: New York City (on-site)

Our client is a nature-inspired, fantasy-driven jewelry brand built on storytelling, craftsmanship, and the magic of meaningful moments. Every piece they make carries a narrative - and they're looking for someone who can bring that same depth to every story told online.

The role

You'll own the brand's organic content strategy from concept to camera to caption. That means building the content calendar, shooting and editing video, writing scripts and hooks, and constantly finding new ways to connect with the right audiences across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube.

This isn't a behind-the-scenes role. You'll regularly appear on camera as one of the creative voices behind the brand, and you'll work closely with Growth Marketing, Retention, and Design teams to make sure content pulls its weight across the full marketing funnel.

What you'll do

  • Own the annual, quarterly, and monthly content calendar across all channels
  • Plan, shoot, edit, and publish static and video content - product stories, gemstone education, behind-the-scenes, lifestyle, and brand narratives
  • Write captions, scripts, hooks, and creative briefs; test formats and angles continuously
  • Use performance data and audience insights to optimize reach, engagement, and shareability
  • Repurpose original and UGC content across social, email, and paid channels
  • Collaborate with Growth, Retention, and Design on campaigns and launches
  • Stay ahead of platform trends, algorithm shifts, and cultural moments - and act on them fast

What we're looking for

  • A proven portfolio showing high-performing content across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, or Pinterest - with results to back it up
  • Deep platform fluency: you understand how algorithms work and why some content breaks out while other content doesn't
  • Comfort on camera - you can show up naturally, confidently, and on-brand with an iPhone and a good idea
  • Strong writing instincts: hooks, captions, and scripts that stop the scroll
  • Organized and proactive - you manage your own calendar and collaborate well across teams
  • Familiarity with AI tools and a genuine interest in using them to work smarter
  • Experience in jewelry, fashion, beauty, or lifestyle brands is a real plus
