Job description

GYN/Breast Pathologist

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at UCLA, Division of Anatomic Pathology, is recruiting an outstanding pathologist to serve in the section of gynecologic and breast pathology. Candidates must possess an M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent degree. Board certification in AP or AP/CP is required. Fellowship training in gynecologic and/or breast pathology is essential, as are the skills, experience, and interest necessary to develop a strong academic career.

The appointment will be at the Assistant Professor level. Successful applicants will be expected to demonstrate academic interest and achievement through research, scholarly presentations, and publications. The candidate will be responsible for clinical service coverage in the gynecologic and breast pathology section, as well as participation in the general frozen section service. A strong commitment to research and scholarly activities in these areas is expected.

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is an integral part of the vibrant UCLA research enterprise and there are numerous opportunities to participate in clinical trials, translational research and basic research. UCLA offers a highly collaborative environment that promotes interactions among faculty in the School of Medicine.
